While doing some cleaning and inspection I noticed some very, very small pin holes on the back side of the metering blocks @ what would be the backside of the accelerator pump channel. "small circular area" Is this some sort of a "bleed off" ? Been fighting a new hesitation. Carb has been pretty much flawless since 2006. I'm fairly meticulous on maintenance and cleaning. Actually found this with my spark plug reading tool during inspection. Thanks!

Hi Patrick,

Finally got this carb put on and fired up. Still gotta set the floats and idle mixture but all seems well.

Quick question though-

When I filled out my quote form, I told you I was planning to use a 1" Wilson tapered spacer on an RPM air gap intake. You mentioned that the combo may not like the spacer which I understand. I will be using a 1" spacer regardless, and my other option is an open spacer. If I go to the track and try both, do I really need to do any tweaking or can it just be an A-B-A test between open and tapered seeing as both will be 1"?

Also, I can call to clear this up if you need me to, but my order was shipped to an old address I had. The address on my tech sheet is correct, the shipping address should be removed.

Thanks,
Jeremy

hi,

i have sb2 sbc 420cubic inch chev that makes 870hp at 7500rpm that R.C. engines in adelaide south australia built for me.I have just purchased one of your sv1 carbs from outlaw speed shop in australia and cant get it to run a1 just yet.the tech build sheet shows the carb no. is 32467.my problem is as i get the revs to 3100rpm it hesitates till 3500rpm then it takes of again only when driving or under load. The carby is very smooth through the rest of the rev range the other thing i can also pick is that some times i have a slite flat spot if i am in that rev range of 3000-3500rpm.The only way of fixing it is if i come of the throttle and jump on it again. Can fix u please give me some ideas on how i can fix this problem ?Keep in mind that this is a street car also(a fast one!)

 Thanks

 BEN

Hi Guys,

I received my Carb Just before our 2011 Winter season so i am just now getting to play with the Car/Carb. I did install it before the snow arrived but really never got a chance to try it out. I did discuss with you (Pat) via E-mail about it being very rich at idle and you recommended a few things and sent me a tuning sheet for the Carb that was very help full. I had a chance Today to try some of your ideas and was very successful! I just wanted to thank you guys for all your support and wanted to express how happy i am with my new Pro System carb! your customer service is the best in the business.I can not believe how crisp and how much more "seat of the pants" power that my 347 has now!
