Hi,
Being a low budget drag racer I bought a used SV1 build 35963 and have no info for it but I seem to think that it is not a good match for my motor or it needs tuning.

Engine is a 565 bbc with 355 pro1 cnc dart heads
14.5:1 pistons and 730 lift, 314 duration, 108 lobe sep. isky cam. Running gas.

The carb has 95 fuel jets all around and 23 air jets all around.

Could you point me in the right direction please?
What the carb was built for and how to make it a closer match for my dragster.

Thank you for your time!!

Are you data logging? Have you made any changes to try to improve? You might want to fill out a spec sheet with that carb # and let Patrick do that carb to dial in that dragster.

We are not data logging, the car ran decent but the jets seem big compared to what we used to run on the old 4-barrell, just want to be sure we are not washing down the cylinders with fuel and how we could get it crisper.

I will fill out a spec sheet and see.
Thank you for your reply hemi,

HEMI-ITIS is dead on as usual.  "Different carb, different set up. Plug reading will tell the story!"

Read the plugs, if they look rich, drop the main jetting two sizes.

If the
mph gains picks up more than 1.5 mph in the 1/8th or 2 mph in the 1/4, drop two again.

If it barely moves a mph, you are real close or done.
